"Senior Night" is this Wednesday Night at the Columbia Dual Meet at Shen, come out and support the team!

Section II Duals Scheduled for Saturday, January 23rd at Shen has been cancelled.

Congratulations to varsity squad for solid performance at this past weekend's Eastern States Classic at Sullivan County Community College.  The team took a 4th place overall among a 73-team field.  The competition in many of the weight classes was as tough as the State tournament will be!  Nick Kelley took 1st place at 119lbs.  John Belanger took 3rd place at 135lbs.  Seth Hazelton took 7th place at 140lbs.  Mike Almaviva took 8th place at 189lbs.  Many other wrestlers won several matches against top quality competition.  For complete results, go to http://www.armdrag.com/ to see the brackets.

Best wishes from the Shen Wrestling community to the Varsity team that is travelling downstate Thursday night to compete on Friday and Saturday (1/8 and 1/9) in the 73-team Eastern States Wrestling Tournament made up of many of the top big and small school programs in NY State as well as outside of NY.  Good Luck - we're proud of you!

And to our rapidly-developing JV squad that is competing in the biggest JV tournament of the year among 20 other schools at Colonie HS on Saturday (1/9).   This is a hotbed for many future Varsity-level performers to go against quality competition and test their mettle!  Great job against Guilderland last night, and we're very proud of you too!!!

THE SHEN WRESTLING BOOSTERS

Congratulations to Coach Weeks, Coach Pop, Coach Meys and the Shen Varsity Team for earning the team championship at the highly competitive Teike-Bernabi Invitational in Spencerport, NY on 12/29 and 12/30 in a field made up of 21 of the top teams in NY state.
